Criminal Justice Program, Criminal Justice Degree Program

The Associate of Science degree program in Criminal Justice at Briarcliffe College – Patchogue is designed to provide students with a broad introduction to the field of criminal justice and enable them to pursue an entry-level position in the field of protective services or to pursue more advanced study at the baccalaureate level. The Criminal Justice curriculum offers a balance of theory and application that will prove challenging to students and useful in the field.

Briarcliffe College – Patchogue's Criminal Justice Program also enables students to explore and prepare for career openings in private investigation, corrections, probation and parole, private protective security, or as providers of security to firms concerned with incidences of computer crime*. The Criminal Justice curriculum has been purposefully designed to provide sufficient breadth and depth, giving students a solid core of courses in the discipline and allowing the exploration of one or more specialty areas that would deliver knowledge appropriate to their Criminal Justice career aspirations.
