Briarcliffe College Career Services
The Career Services Office is committed to helping students and alumni compete and succeed in the job market through a variety of career development and employment services.
As a student at Briarcliffe College, you will have the opportunity to team-up with a program-specific career services representative who will be dedicated to your success. The services offered by these trained professionals include career coaching, resume and cover letter writing, follow-up letter preparation and mock interviews.
Briarcliffe College sponsors on-campus recruitment through Spotlight on Employers, Job Fairs, and Design Expos. On-site recruitment takes place each semester, providing students with opportunities to meet hiring representatives from many leading companies. You may also have opportunities for part-time employment while attending school, which may be within an area that fits your chosen career path. Designated representatives serve as liaisons between our students and area employers. Part-time and full-time jobs are regularly posted.
Briarcliffe students may create and post their resumes on Optimal Resume and have the ability to search for employment opportunities online.*
To best prepare students for employment within a particular industry, students are required to attend a Career Skills Workshop during the last semester before receiving their degree or diploma. This workshop will address resume writing, interviewing techniques and job search strategies. All graduates will need to complete the workshop, conduct an exit/mock interview with Career Services and submit a final resume to their career services representative.
