USCAA Softball Championship

Briarcliffe College Softball defeats St. Mary of the Woods College with 4-2 victory in the first game of the USCAA World Series.  

All-American pitcher Jillian McGovern pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits, and one walk while striking out one.

Briarcliffe didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the fourth inning and 3 runs in the 6th on a clutch 3-run double by Raina Bunai.  

Congratulations to our academic all Americans Marfrelina Melendez, Alicia sheron and Ivette Yi-Santiago along with All Americans Jillian McGovern, and second team All Americans Erin Breslin, and Shannon Dougherty.
