Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. We're walked because we wanted to make a difference. The money we raised will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And, it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
The March for Babies Walk was held on Saturday, April 30th at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY and on Sunday, May 1st at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY. The College had participants on both dates. The College’s goal was set at $3,500. I am proud to say that the College well exceeded their goal and raised an overwhelming $5,645.60. I could not have accomplished this without the College’s support of $2,500, my Team of 18, which included staff, faculty, friends, family, and even a Briarcliffe student who all set and met their individual goals, and of course, the entire College Community that came together and donated as well.
This was an amazing accomplishment for me and the College. I truly thank everyone for their support and look forward to being part of the March of Dimes-March for Babies Walk next year.
