Head Coach – Lisa Jusino
Head Coach Lisa Jusino is in her third season at the helm of the Briarcliffe Bulldogs. In her reign here at Briarcliffe, she has produced an “Athlete of the Year”, 4 All-American’s, 3 Second Team All-American’s, 6 Scholar Athletes. With only 9 losses last season, she brought the team to a 4th place finish in the country. Lisa Jusino graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Communications from Adelphi University in 2001, where she also minored in Women’s Studies. She was a four-year starter on the softball team and also became a coach at Adelphi upon graduation.
Among her many honors is playing for USA International in Australia and being selected for the Puerto Rico National softball team. Lisa was a scholar athlete who holds many of the career batting records at Adelphi. Her achievements include two-time team MVP, All Region and All NYCAC player. She was inducted into the Adelphi University Hall of Fame in 2009.
A master clinician, Coach Jusino was the director of the Adelphi Summer Camp program. She also works as a hitting instructor at Strictly Softball. “LJ” is active in charity efforts for cancer awareness and continues to play softball with the Long Island Freedom Women’s Major Fast Pitch Softball Team.
