Briarcliffe College Women’s Basketball Coaches

Head Coach – Jay Lynch

Jay Lynch will be entering his 6th season as the head coach at Briarcliffe College. During his tenure, the Lady Bulldogs have been ranked in the top 10 nationwide in the USCAA Conference.

Strong recruiting has contributed to the consistent success and national rankings for Coach Lynch and the Lady Bulldogs. He has produced 2 All-American’s, and several scholar athletes.

As a player at NYC's CHSAA powerhouse Power Memorial, Lynch contributed to a team that won two New York City titles, including a season in which his team went undefeated. He earned his Criminal Justice degree while playing basketball at John Jay College, where his team was ranked the #1 defensive team in America for NCAA Division 3. That year, he was the defensive player of the year for the Bloodhounds.

Coaching at nationally ranked Tolentine HS in the Bronx, Coach Lynch won a NYC championship, capping off an undefeated season. He is one of only a handful of NYC High School coaches to have played on and coached an undefeated championship team in the tough catholic league.

Coach Lynch has been married to his wife Donna for 24 years and has two daughters, Katie and Kara. He will be returning this year with hopes of bringing a national championship back to Bethpage.
