Head Coach – Ed Jusino
Coach Ed Jusino is entering his third season as Briarcliffe's Baseball coach. In his first season, he won the 2011 USCAA Small College World Series. It was back to back championships here at Briarcliffe. For the first time in Briarcliffe’s history has a team come out of the loser’s bracket to win the championship.
Ed Jusino earned an athletic scholarship to play baseball at NYU, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. Coach Jusino has coached baseball and softball for practically his entire life, including stints as traveling coach with Fire & Ice and as a coach on the 1999 18U National Championship team.
In 2006, Coach Jusino retired after 35 years as a teacher in New York City and became the Briarcliffe Head Softball Coach. Through his career, he has never stopped playing baseball and was inducted into the Men’s Senior Baseball League Long Island Hall of Fame in 2007. He was also elected to the MSBL National Hall of Fame in 2009.
