The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Management degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management is specialized for students who have an interest in general management and the administration of institutions to include hospitals, clinics and health-related practices. Healthcare managers work with systems rather than directly with patients and have the skills to efficiently manage the quality of care that patients receive. Because of this direct link between healthcare management and patient experience, individuals who study healthcare management plans oversee and coordinate the delivery of health care within a healthcare facility.
Essential courses within the healthcare concentration include the study of medical terminology, healthcare marketing, management, law, ethics, policy, and contemporary issues along with customer service, risk management, and patient safety.
