Diploma in Accounting
The accounting diploma program is designed to provide a solid foundation in the theory of generally accepted accounting principles. The concepts are reinforced with practical applications in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, computerized accounting, and computerized spreadsheets.
In this program, students will study and perform spreadsheet operations using industry-standard application software. Topics include constructing spreadsheets designed to best illustrate various business situations; utilizing the software’s tools to provide a visual means of presenting financial information and preparing graphs and charts. Students are then taught to utilize these skills in practical business simulation covering topics such as cash flow, budgeting, profit and loss and trend analysis.
