Experience Bethpage
Bethpage is a diverse community in New York's Nassau County, located about 26 miles east of New York City. Home to approximately 16,500 people, the town is also where the Grumman plant produced the Apollo Lunar Module (LEM) for NASA.
There are several historic sites in the area, including Saint Paul's Church National Historic Site, the Woolworth Estate, the Roslyn Grist Mill and the Louis Armstrong House.
Recreationally, Bethpage offers numerous parks, facilities and activities that appeal to a broad range of interests, including the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Cantiague Park, Queens Botanical Garden and the internationally renowned Belmont Park Race Track.
At Bethpage State Park, there are five golf courses from which to
choose. One of them, the black course, was the site of the U.S. Open in
2002 and 2009.
