Briarcliffe College Continues Free Community Outreach Series with Workshop How To Find a Job in Today's Market

(Bethpage, NY…May 29, 2009) In the face of continued uncertainty about the economy and poor labor statistics, the Briarcliffe College free Community Outreach Series offers guidance to the public by drawing on the talents of its faculty and partners to explore solutions.

The June workshop, How To Find a Job in Today’s Market, will be in two parts and cover topics essential to the job search. All job seekers will benefit, from recent college graduates to those who may be re-entering the job market after a hiatus or forced by a recent layoff to refresh their employment skills or explore new career paths.

The workshop, presented by the Briarcliffe College Office of Career Services with ExecuLeaders Founder and President Richard Kruse, brings attendees a wealth of experience, perspective, and a nuts and bolts approach to searching for work today. Briarcliffe College, known for its career education programs designed to meet the needs of the marketplace, is actively engaged with metro area job placement fairs, business and civic organizations, job training, and counseling on job preparedness. ExecuLeaders (www.ExecuLeaders.org) is a non-profit business association dedicated to educating the community in methods and techniques of sales, marketing and networking, as well as helping foster new business opportunities.

Each two-part workshop is offered Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. at the Briarcliffe College Patchogue campus located at 225 Main Street and the Bethpage campus at 1055 Stewart Avenue. The topics and dates are as follows:
