“The Association is in its infancy but we are excited to get underway in creating a community with an affiliation and allegiance to Briarcliffe College,” said Alumni Association President Evan Proios. “The Association opens a window to a lifetime of personal and professional growth and is a resource for benefits and networking.”
Kelli Burgos, marketing director at Briarcliffe College, is the campus liaison for the alumni association. “Alumni are automatically members – there are no fees or dues – but we are eager to spur communication and stay connected. We will be contacting alumni through e-blasts, our quarterly newsletter, and social media.”
To date, the Alumni Leadership Executive Committee members Parris Thompson, Evan Proios, and Norma Coreas, have been establishing a framework for organizing events, seminars and benefits for all Briarcliffe College alumni. Distinct from other associations trying to stimulate alumni giving through donations and endowments, Briarcliffe College seeks to stimulate leads, referrals and new career opportunities for current students and those alumni in transition during these tough economic times.
For more information on the Alumni Association, contact Briarcliffe College Marketing Director Kelli Burgos at: kburgos@bcl.edu or call 516-918-3698. Current students may email alumni@briarcli.com to become involved.
